Actress Tonto Dikeh Quits Acting, Gives Reasons

Popular Nollywood Star, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she wouldn’t be getting back to Nollywood after the governorship political decision in Rivers State.

Review that the Nollywood star was reported as the delegate governorship applicant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State.

Talking with BBC News Pidgin, Tonto said she won’t get back to acting regardless of whether her party loses the governorship political race in Rivers State.

When inquired as to whether she has totally resigned from acting, the mother of one said, “I could do without films like that once more and it’s been quite a while since I followed up on screen, you know.

“I’ve acted in around two movies in 10 years, I value that my way begun from Nollywood, it is something that I regard, however not something has been a major part of my life.

“So even after the political race, it’s not something I’ll get back to, yet I’ll very much want to add to the business when I get into power,” Tonto said.

She went on to praise her partners, Funke Akindele and Banky W for their boldness and support in governmental issues.

“It is difficult for Funke and Banky W at their level to put themselves out there to impact change since reactions thus numerous things are involved.

“I have confidence in Funke, I trust in Banky. With them, I can clutch something and say I accept that they have a dream for individuals,” she said.
